Careers Week at ACSS - Nov. 2 - 6, 2020
We have a week of career activities and contests to highlight special career events, such as the PSBC Virtual Fair for our grade 11 and 12 students on Nov. 2nd & 3rd and the Virtual Take our Kids to Work Day for our grade 9 students on Nov. 4th.

PSBC Virtual Fair (Gr. 11 & 12 students and parents)
Nov. 2nd, 2020     2:00 - 6:00pm
Nov. 3rd, 2020     3:00 - 7:00pm

Here is a link to a short 1-minute video that provides a clear introduction for students and parents on how to use the Virtual Fair platform:
              https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7-Ath_mH2E

The times that have been established allow students to take part when and where they choose; if they need to access school computers, it would be after school.

Visitors can login in at any time during the 4-hour fairs; those institutions doing live presentations will start them at 15-minutes after the hour; some institutions might do four presentations, while others may only do one or two, so students should plan to use all the time available to them to explore all the members booths in the fair and see who are doing presentations. Some institutions will also have pre-recorded presentations that can be viewed at any time.

Students can return at almost any time after their assigned days to visit the booths, view pre-recorded video presentations and download documents. In between the live fair events the platform will be open most of the time so students, parents and teachers can access this information.

Canadian University Event (CUE)
Good news - the CUE website is live! Students can go to cuebc.org to register for events. All CUE student events are the same and they are open to students in all grades. Students will need to register on the CUE website in order to access the live events. Students events are scheduled for:

Monday September 28: 4-8PM Pacific
Tuesday, September 29: 4-8PM Pacific
Wednesday, September 30: 4-8PM Pacific
Thursday, October 1: 4-8PM Pacific
Saturday, October 3: 10AM-2PM Pacific
Tuesday, October 6: 4-8PM Pacific
Thursday, October 8: 4-8PM Pacific
